The Northside Business Leaders meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month except September, November and December meeting only once the 2nd Tuesday of the month. We meet in the Samburu Room at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens on 370 Zoo Parkway. Lunch is $15 and no reservations are necessary just show up. Networking begins at 11:30 am, lunch is served at 11:45am and the business meeting lasts from 12- 1pm, visitors welcome.

"Business Preparedness"

Business owners you missed out if you did not make it to this meeting!  Bill did one heck of a job on explaining the need to provide a contingency plan on what to do if something goes wrong at your business. Maybe a Plumbing line breaks and floods your office, Power goes off, phones & computers  power down, Hurricane hits or a disaster like 911 happens.  What do you do?  You need a plan, you need communications.  Retail business can you get a cash register open and hand write out sales slips.  Do you have an old, but dependable Bell System rotary or Touchtone phone?  They do not require power from your building.  These were but a few of the many contingencies you might plan ahead for.  You will find below a link to a Outline of Bill's excellent presentation. Incidentally these ideas are important at home.

I would like to apologize to Bill and the club for maybe miss-representing his talk by calling it "Hurricane Preparedness". Maybe that is why we had a poor turn out this last meeting?

Nancy Burnett had a surprise for Jim who has trouble with what time it is.!  We expect to see Jim with his new time piece walking the streets of Jacksonville.
