Past Meetings
 

The Northside Business Leaders meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month except September, November and December meeting only once the 2nd Tuesday of the month. We meet in the Samburu Room at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens on 370 Zoo Parkway. Lunch is $15 and no reservations are necessary just show up. Networking begins at 11:30 am, lunch is served at 11:45am and the business meeting lasts from 12- 1pm, visitors welcome.

"First Coast High School Chorus"

First Coast Chorus

The Northside Business Leaders was entertained by the First Coast High School Chorus. They sung many of the traditional favorites and a few new songs that some of us hadn't heard.  These students did a beautiful job and have a love for what they do.  Director Larsen said he has 29 members and not one has missed an event.  The week of our meeting they were doing 15 events. The week before one of their events was performed at Disney World in Orlando.  When each were asked about their future plans many were going to pursue music.  Others were going to pursue  nursing, engineering etc.  A great group of kids and a wonderful Christmas Program!

These members & guests were captivated with the students performance.  It really is a shame that out of 150 members in the club, that the open table in the back and other empty seats existed at this heart warming meeting.  Every meeting brings a wealth of knowledge and entertainment.  We all have a busy schedule, but lunch time at least once a month should be available to all of us.

Robbie updated the club on their activities and upcoming projects.  Robbie said they always have a need for volunteers to help at the home with the boys.  Maybe some of us have a skill or knowledge of something which would benefit the kids.  Contact Robbie if you can help.  Also donations are always appreciated.
