Ray's "Six Critical Questions" for Jerry Holland!
Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland’s Presentation HEADLINE!! JERRY HOLLAND BUSTS MYTH! During the NSBL meeting Supervisor of Elections laid to rest the old time myth that Absentee and Early voting ballots were counted last! In FACT absentee and early voters can now rest assured that their votes are the FIRST to be counted in DUVAL County in every election. This fact and many others were conveyed along with Jerry’s heartwarming personality. The meeting started with a little fun and meeting attendees quickly learned that Jerry Holland loves his job! Speaking excitedly and quickly he revealed that there are 530,725 registered voters in Duval County making Duval the 7th largest county in Florida. Fact:
2008 Presidential Election was the largest voter turnout ever with 77.83% Fact: All Petitions have to be manually verified for signatures. Fact: New voting equipment will cost 1.7 Million. Fact:

Ray Turner, "Corey-Kerlin" Officer of the Quarter
Lt. Allen Eason Officer T. W. Herrington Lt. Allen Eason of Zone 6 introduced Officer Herrington was commended for his community services in addition to his regular duties. This past Christmas Officer Herrington put together a team of Officers who went to various neighborhoods in uniform and gave candy and gifts to the kids. You guessed it Officer Herrington dressed up as Santa Clause, The function really was received by these kids as a very positive thing to see that police are not just out there to give tickets or arrest people. Officer Herrington, Officer of the Quarter received a plaque and a savings bond from NSBL for his contribution to the community and his dedication to safety and security of not only north Jax but the city as well.
