Northside Business Leaders

Attend reception for

Hosted by

Steve & Natalee Leggett

Northside Business Leader Steve Leggett and his wife Natalee hosted a reception for Mike Hogan at their beautiful home on the Northside of Jacksonville.  Approximately sixty guests were enjoying the beautiful view of Amelia Island, having conversation with fellow guests, eating a great barbecue meal and all this in the Leggett spectacular home.

When you arrived you were greeted by Robin, Steve's secretary at his company Signature Land, Inc.  Robin really made you feel at home with her bright smile and outgoing personality.

Steve, Steve's mother Elizabeth  and wife Natalee were busy keeping things in order.

After eating Steve presented Mike Hogan, who gave his vision if he were to be the upcoming Mayor. Mike made it clear that he wished to make decisions not based on being re-elected, but rather on what was right for Jacksonville as whole.  Mike before and after his formal speech, spoke to the guests one on one to answer their concerns and questions.

Mike Hogan giving his vision, if he were Mayor.

Our next Mayor must do four things immediately upon taking office.

   11. Must implement spending reforms

Our problem hasn’t been revenues it has been excessive spending, tether the growth of
    spending to the economy
.

2.  2. Must focus on the core functions of government

Public safety, streets and rights of ways and Parks and recreation

3.  3. Crank up the Port and energize small business growth

   A) The Panama Canal widening is almost complete. We must be ready to secure that business. Geographically and logistically we are the best Port on the entire East coast to handle and distribute those goods. Our infrastructure must in place and ready

   B) 60% of all working Americans work for small businesses, we must get government out of their way.

4.  4. Must hire people on his staff who have experience in running government; it’s not the time for
a rookie staff or a rookie mayor

Our Next Mayor’s vision must be riveted on putting our fiscal house in order. Nothing should
interfere with that vision, not even and most especially concerns about re-election
.
