911 Proper Addressing is a law that Benefits ALL!

Northside Business Leaders in conjunction with Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts of the North Jacksonville Area met with Mayor John Peyton and Chief of Facilities Larry Peterson to kickoff the 911 Numbers Awareness ProgramGirl Scouts & Boy Scouts of the North Jacksonville Area will be helping the elderly or poor people to install  the proper size (4" or larger) addresses, in the proper location on their homes or mailboxes free of charge.  These larger properly displayed numbers will help emergency responders to find the proper addresses quicker and thus save precious time which may
Save Someone's Life!   We need adult volunteer supervision at the future installation events. We hope to do many streets in the North Jacksonville Area.

Note:  The Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts of the North Jacksonville Area, George Corey and the Northside Business Leaders are funding and managing this project, which the Mayor and the City of Jacksonville endorses.  The City is not funding this project.
